Teachers develop the school-based coursework Module Task booklets to meet the students’ learning needs in speaking (for senior students), reading and writing, as well as enhancing students’ creativity and problem-solving skills. We also design the e-learning tools in the Module tasks. The design of the coursework includes in-depth reading comprehension training. This can improve students’ English reading and speaking skills (for senior students) effectively, consolidate the development of creative writing and strengthen problem-solving in life-based learning. In addition, to deepen students’ reading comprehension skills, a set of school-based Reading Challenge booklets are specially designed to improve students’ ability to read and answer questions. Phonics and Speaking Booklets are school-based designed to deepen junior students’ phonics knowledge and enhance their speaking skills. Thematic Vocabulary booklets are school-based designed to enrich students’ vocabulary in different themes.

We have two native English-speaking teachers (NETs) for our P.1-P.6 oral speaking lessons. They help to enhance students’ listening, speaking and presentation skills through sharing, group discussion and storytelling. Moreover, we arrange for the more able students in P.4-P.6 to participate in the elite English-speaking classes on weekdays after school. The purpose of these oral classes is to improve students’ English-speaking skills, increase students’ opportunities for self-expression and to improve their communication skills in English.

Students develop their reading habits by reading different levelled books on the e-platform Raz Plus. They can read whenever and wherever they like at home. Moreover, our students have shown an abundance of kindness! They volunteered for UNICEF Kid Power by donating 58,260,000 points from Raz Plus, thus giving those people in need around the world 74,820 days of clean water!

Furthermore, teachers design and arrange various in-class and extra-curricular learning activities. The list of activities includes Social & Emotional Learning project in NET oral lessons, one-minute talk, English lunchtime broadcasting, English morning assembly, English Days, UK Oxford and Cambridge study tours, Singapore study tours, Australia study tours, English field trips, English ambassador training, English creative writing competitions, English slogan competitions, Raz Plus writing competitions, the English drama team, Cambridge examination training courses, English phonics classes, the English Poetry Recitation Team, Chinese Festivals learning activities and many more!
